I’m a Roman Catholic priest living somewhere in the Old West, USA, and serving as a pastor of rural parishes. I desire to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and message of salvation through His words, teachings, and sacraments, not only within my parishes but throughout the world.

This community allows me to express my thoughts regarding faith and morals, politics and culture in the world today in a way that protects myself, my parishes, and my family and friends. For priests, many topics have been considered off-limits due to political and social pressures. Any priest who dares breach these topics are shouted down and often persecuted by their own parishioners, bishop, and the public at large. The IRS has even threatened diocesan and parish’s tax exempt statuses due to topics being considered “too political”.

I don’t want this to be just another Church politics forum, so I also will talk about fun stuff like my (very) amateur video gaming and other topics of geekdom. Sports, science, travel, and more are fair game for the less weighty posts.

• Disagreement with the Church and Her teachings are permitted, so long as the discussion is civil. Of course, seeking understanding of those teachings are highly encouraged!
• Don’t blow up other members’ feeds. If someone isn’t responding to you, let it be

• Keep out behavior that could be seen as trolling/spamming
• Relax, be yourself, and enjoy
